BOARD OF ASSESSORS
3 Year Re-Measure and Re-List of all Properties
The Department of Revenue requires that all Cities and Towns re-measure and re-list all properties every 10 years. The Board of Assessors has contracted Vision Appraisal Technology Inc. to complete this project. This project will be over a period of 3 years and Phase 1 will begin in May 25, 2010. Vision Appraisal will measure the exterior of all buildings and inspect the interior of all properties. All Vision Appraisal employees will have proper identification. There will also be an updated photograph taken of the exterior of each building to update the photograph we already have on file. If residents have any questions please call the Rowley Assessor’s Office at (978) 948-2021.
Phase 1 will include Maps 1 through 10 and will be completed by August 30, 2010.
(The area that this encompasses is West to Route 95 (Georgetown), North to Long Hill Rd, East to Route 1 and South to the Ipswich Line.)
Phase 2 will include Maps 11 through 22 and will be completed by June 30, 2012.
Phase 3 will include Maps 23 to 38 and will be completed by August 25, 2013.
The Board of Assessors will put a notice in the newspaper and postings in Town Hall to notify residents when the second and third phases are about to begin.
The Board of Assessors would ask for the assistance of property owners in allowing Vision Appraisal the ability to measure their buildings and inspect the interior of their buildings to ensure that the data on file in our office is accurate. Vision Appraisal will leave a door hanger at your property with a contact number to schedule an appointment to view the interior of your property if you are not home when they visit your property. |
